6–10kV SCB Resin-Insulated Dry-Type Transformer

The resin-insulated dry-type transformer is developed by our company using advanced foreign technology. We have independently developed the SC(B)10, SC(B)11, SC(B)12, and SC(B)13 series of dry-type transformers with filler thin insulation. Since the coils are encapsulated in epoxy resin, the transformers are flame-retardant, fireproof, explosion-proof, maintenance-free, environmentally friendly, compact, and can be installed directly at the load center.

The scientific design and precise casting process reduce partial discharge, minimize noise, and enhance heat dissipation. Under forced air cooling, the transformers can operate continuously at 140% rated load. They are equipped with an intelligent temperature controller, featuring fault alarm, over-temperature alarm, over-temperature trip, and black-out protection. The controller can connect to a computer via an RS485 serial interface for centralized monitoring and control.

Due to these features, our dry-type transformers are widely used in power transmission and distribution systems, including hotels, airports, high-rise buildings, commercial centers, residential complexes, as well as in harsh environments such as subways, smelting power plants, ships, and offshore drilling platforms.

Core
The core is made of high-quality imported cold-rolled silicon steel sheets with a full-mitered joint structure. Core columns are wrapped with F-class tape without adhesive, and the core surface is sealed with insulating resin paint to prevent moisture and corrosion. This reduces no-load loss, no-load current, and core noise. Clamps and fasteners undergo special surface treatment, improving the product’s appearance quality.

High-Voltage Winding
High-voltage windings are vacuum-cast with filler epoxy resin, greatly reducing partial discharge and improving electrical strength. The inner and outer walls of the windings are reinforced with glass fiber grids to enhance mechanical strength and increase resistance to sudden short-circuit currents. The coils are designed never to crack.

Low-Voltage Winding
Low-voltage windings use a foil structure, solving axial spiral angle issues encountered with wire winding and achieving balanced ampere-turns. The coils feature axial cooling ducts to improve heat dissipation. Layers are insulated with DMD epoxy pre-impregnated cloth, forming a solid, cured structure.

Manufacturing Process
Coils are wound on high-precision winding machines, with low-voltage windings using a foil winding structure. Large-capacity transformers include ventilation channels. After winding, the coils undergo vacuum drying, and the entire casting and curing process is strictly monitored and adjusted as needed. The precise casting process ensures coils are free of bubbles and voids, resulting in high-quality transformers.

Temperature Control and Air Cooling System
The transformers use cross-flow top-blowing cooling fans, which are low-noise, high-pressure, and aesthetically designed, enhancing overload capacity. Temperature control is managed by an intelligent temperature controller to improve operational safety and reliability.

Protective Enclosure and Output Busbar
The protective enclosure provides additional safety protection for the transformer. Protection levels include IP20 and IP23, and enclosure materials such as cold-rolled steel or stainless steel are available for selection.

Low-voltage output is provided via standard busbars, with side or top output options, and special configurations can be designed per user requirements.
